Hello, everyone! Sorry, I've been gone for a while but I will start posting again now. So I decided I wanted to post some baking posts once in awhile to mix it up! Today I will be making a chocolate poke cake with a whipped cream filling. Let's get BAKING!

For this baked treat you will need:

  • Premixed Cake Mix

  • (1/2 teaspoon) Vanilla Extract

For the whipped cream you will need:

  • (2 cups) Heavy Whipping Cream

  • (2 tablespoons) Sugar

  • (1/2 teaspoon) Vanilla Extract

For garnish you will need:

  • A Large Chocolate Bar

Equipment needed:

  • A Pan

  • Wooden Spoon

  • A Large Bowl

  • An Electric Mixer

  • Vegetable Peeler

First, follow the directions on the box for the batter, but before you put it in the oven add a couple of drops of vanilla extract to the batter. Then, mix in the vanilla extract and put the cake in the oven according to what the box says. Don't forget to spray the pan before you put your batter in it.

While the cake is in the oven start on the whipped cream. Add the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract in a chilled bowl (to get the bowl chilled keep it in the freezer for 20 minutes). After, adding it in the bowl mix it until the mixture makes high peaks. If the cake is still baking keep the whipped cream in the fridge while the cake is baking.

When the cake is done baking let it cool down for 5-10 minutes then poke 5 holes across and 3 holes verticle. Cover the top of the cake with the whipped cream. For a garnish shred the chocolate and add it on top of the cake. After, the garnish has been added chill the cake for 3 hours. Then enjoy!

I hope you guys like this recipe and I will talk to you soon okay bye!
